But after spending a full week there, and nearly 2 months zig-zagging down the spine of the US Rocky Mountains, I am publicly declaring Glaciar Parque Nacional que es la más hermosa franja de tierra que he puesto los ojos en el país.

We saw multiple glaciers from afar, but took the opportunity to get up close and personal with Grinnell Glacier overlook. Cuando se combina miles de acres de muertos & secado de árboles con las temperaturas más cálidas y nieve que se derrite más temprano cada año, usted consigue los incendios más grandes y más desagradables.

Thank God we visited the park in July, because literally the week after we left the Reynolds Creek Wildland Fire broke out & quickly engulfed entire sections of the park. Gran parte del parque se evacuó, reservations were cancelled, and many summer plans ruined.

Of course nothing like this can be predicted, but with studies showing that both fire frequency & documented burn areas are increasing, it’s probably best to visit Glacier National Park sooner rather than later.

Visit Glacier National Park Before It Changes!

These aren’t scare tactics. Este no es un argumento de venta. Sólo soy un apasionado de compartir lugares sorprendentes con otras personas. Especially if those places are in danger of changing forever, then I want to communicate a sense of urgency.

There is no doubt that climate change is quickly and negatively affecting the beauty & ecosistema del parque, so take advantage of living in 2015 and go visit Glacier National Park while it still has glaciers! Sadly, we may be part of the last generation that actually has that opportunity.
